Rest Assured

I've been cooking a lot at home, and as I made an impromptu dinner for a visiting friend, I remarked to him how much I loved cooking with tongs. For years before I got a pair I labored with trying to turn a roast with forks, or flip strips of turkey bacon with a spatula, and avoid third degree burns at the same time. But with tongs, you just grab hold and you're good to go, no mess, no fuss.

Well, okay, I take that back - a little mess. I was constantly resting them on the unused burner on top of the stove, or balancing them on top of a container lid, or even leaving a saucer dedicated to the purpose of keeping the drippings on my implement from adding to the mess on the stovetop, and preventing the tongs themselves from being contaminated while I use them on my food. Well not anymore: enter the Dreamfarm Clongs, whose ingenious bend in their arms add almost a literal twist to the classic tong shape, and instantly assure you you can conveniently rest your cooking utensil on any surface.

How simple is that? Love. (and love the 50s homemaker background music - very "Bewitched"!)

Get Dreamfarm's Clongs in various sizes from 9" to 12" from any number of retailers a quick googling can point you to, starting at about $18 a piece..
